I can confirm adding the value of 4096 to your current 'fbbfwd' parameter in 
fbb.conf should be sufficient to make callsign validation checks throughout 
LinFBB including connections, forwarding and the maintenance software less 
strict (only 1 digit needed, 3 also accepted like in ABC123).

It looks there's no modification needed except for using that parameter in 
your FBB config file.

If there are still any issues encountered with PG style callsigns please let 
me know. 

Also don't forget to check any 3rd-party connection filter (C_FILTER) or 
node/stack settings if you encounter similar problems.
